UNIBOA brings Bassa people and their chapters across the United States together to serve Grand Bassa, Rivercess, Margibi and Montserrado through education, healthcare and culture.
UNIBOA grew out of the Bassa Progressive League, founded in Brooklyn, New York in 1972. In April 1991 the national body took the name United Bassa Organizations in the Americas.
Our vision is to make the Bassa-speaking counties a better environment for our people, and for all Liberians who live there, through committed work in education and healthcare.

A proposed center to be built in the four Bassa counties, beginning with Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, to empower young Bassa citizens and be a source of enlightenment for the greater community.

Four days of meetings, elections, culture, worship, music, fellowship and sports. Delegates welcomed a new team of national officers, crowned the UNIBOA Queen, and looked ahead to Liberia 2028.
In November 2025 a UNIBOA delegation travelled home for a week of events and meetings in Grand Bassa County.
With the deep involvement of UNIBOA, a major reconciliation meeting has reportedly ended between Senator Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence and Senator Gbehzohngar Findley.
After a long week of work in Liberia, the committee relaxed together at the Lifestyle Hotel and VIP Bar.
